NBGHome is a leading global designer, manufacturer and marketer of home décor products, including custom and ready-made picture framing, lighting, wall décor, indoor and outdoor accent furniture and soft goods. We are currently seeking a Business Analyst for our headquarters in Austin, Texas. This fast-paced, critical position is highly visible resource on a small, dynamic team that is directly supportive to executive management.


The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with “ownership” mentality.  If you have the ability to develop business tools in coordination with IT, and you have FP&A, general finance, and/or merger and acquisition experience, you could be the right candidate.  We are looking for someone with an understanding of SQL databases and attention to detail and accuracy.   Previous experience with SAGE and/or SEI helpful, but a desire to learn and contribute from day one is mandatory.




  • Minimum five years of direct financial planning and analysis experience, preferably in a manufacturing or consumer products environment,
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance. Will consider IT degree with previous financial experience.
  • Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills,
  • General familiarity with multiple ERP systems a plus (SAGE, JD EDWARDS, TNL, SAP)
  • SQL database management  



  • As the business analyst, you are responsible for General Business Intelligence tools, coordinating BI improvements with the IT department, creating and modifying existing BI tools via SQL/SEI/Access/Excel.
  • The annual budget modeling process including income statement, balance sheet, capital expenditures and cash flow and forecasts for U.S. and international operations.
  • Preparation and ongoing analysis of operating budgets. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual analysis of budget to actual and prior period financial results providing insight, reasons and explanations for identified variances.
  • Analysis of financial data for senior management, Board of Directors and private equity owners.
  • In-depth analysis of product line and customer profitability analysis from a sales, volume and margin perspective and other ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to provide tools and analysis to enable better decision making and greater efficiency.
  • Continuous focus on simplification and standardization.


Must be comfortable working with systems but also understand financial analysis.  Must be a proactive person with a team first mentality who is ready to join a fast paced, growing company.
