National Sales Account Manager

NBGHome is a leader in home decor design, manufacturing and marketing is currently seeking a National Sales Account Manager. We are looking for a driven, team player with both creative and analytical competencies to join the sales team at our Home Decor Division located in the Southaven, MS based office. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, self-starter willing to work hard and grow with a fast paced company. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and execute tactical selling strategies to achieve aggressive revenue and profit goals at assigned national accounts
  • Develop extensive product and pricing knowledge
  • Coordinate cross-functional support in executing key sales projects
  • Communicate account product requirements to product development team
  • Develop new business development opportunities at assigned new accounts
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the home décor industry and how our products are positioned within the category
  • Attend and participate in key trade and customer events
  • Manage customer visits to our product showroom at the company headquarters
  • Understand and communicate fashion trends in the home décor product category
  • Assists in executing marketing strategies and objectives.
  • Assists in proposal writing and presentations including online.
  • May monitor profitability and performance of existing products and services.
  • Maintains marketing database including photos, catalogs, key codes, and customer/prospect files.
  • Produces regularly scheduled reports from marketing database.
  • Coordinates various marketing fulfillment duties and systems including direct mail, packages, letters, catalogs, and other sales literature.
  • Assists in implementing public relations programs and trade shows.
  • Participates in new market research and design.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Participates in new market research and design.
  • Accepts special projects as assigned by supervisor.
  • Travels on a limited basis when needed.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Four year BA degree required.
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Track record of exceeding sales quotas and objectives
  • Account management experience must be in consumer oriented retail channel of distribution
  • Account level sales forecasting
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to project a positive image to customers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to work as an effective team player
  • Strong organizational/follow-up skills.
