Product Design & Development Manager

Southaven, MS Full-time

NBG Home is a leading global designer, manufacturer and marketer of home decor products including custom and ready-made picture framing, lighting, wall décor, indoor and outdoor accent furniture and soft goods. We are currently seeking a Product Design and Development Manager for our Home Décor division located in either Bono, AR or Southaven, MS.

We are looking for a driven, team player with both creative and analytical competencies, a keen eye for analyzing and identifying marketplace and sales trends, and the ability to create and develop new product concepts. 


  • Owns the development and execution of compelling/original product design/concepts, print/pattern development, and sourcing for assigned accounts.
  • Produce cohesive product and/or sourcing presentations or documentation outlining development options/opportunities.
  • Support sales force by providing current information on product developments.
  • Partner with team to prepare artwork, presentation boards, and any supporting materials for key milestone meetings. Responsibilities include, but not limited to requesting/pulling samples, setting up showroom/merchandising, sample mock ups, creating swatch/material boards, and creating power point presentations.
  • Communicate with overseas office regarding assigned product development projects.
  • Conducts market research and planning. Interpret and compile this data for customer and product development use.
  • Research industry and market trends.  Attend domestic tradeshows as required, and available to travel domestic and overseas
  • Research and analyze mass market retail sales trends as well as fashion trends in home décor/interior design and lighting.
  • Shop the retail market for new merchandise/trend ideas and design inspiration (materials, fashion, color) as needed


  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum five years’ experience in product development or project management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel and Power point.
  • Experience working with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD or similar design software.
