Sales Coordinator

Plantation Patterns, a division of NBGHome, is a manufacturer and distributor of beautiful outdoor cushions and umbrellas in the United States. We are currently seeking a Sales Coordinator to be based in our Birmingham, AL office.


This position is responsible for assisting the VP of Sales and Key Accounts Manager in growing sales and developing customer relationships to meet specific goals as established by the VP of Sales.  This position acts as primary support to the Senior Sales team in coordinating activities that lead to increased sales opportunities. The position will report to the VP of Sales and will provide administrative support to multiple managers. Ideal candidates will have exceptional administrative, organizational, and planning skills.  This is a full-time, exempt position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties as assigned:

  • Creates and reviews proposals, coordinates customer quotations, schedules and coordinates department appointments and meetings, and works cross-functionally with the product development and engineering teams.
  • Monitors and reports sales objectives by tracking against milestones. Maintains and reports sales statistics. 
  • Assists with the completion of customer quote forms, item set up forms, and other customer specific forms required.
  • Performs market research in order to assist the senior sales team in preparing for upcoming presentations and assists in developing sales strategies that lead to profitable growth. Maintains up-to-date understanding of industry trends, competitive activity, and technical developments that effect target markets and customers. 
  • Works cohesively with Marketing, Sourcing and Engineering teams to clearly outline customer needs and requirements.  Provides consistent feedback to Teams regarding customer relationships, results of sales development activities, new accounts, and market trends.  
  • Performs other related duties as required.


  • Significant use of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Advanced skill level in Excel and PowerPoint Required.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Physical Demands - Extended Computer Use; Occasional Travel may be required
