Customer Service Representative

Plantation Patterns, a division of NBGHome, is a manufacturer and distributor of beautiful outdoor cushions and umbrellas in the United States. We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative to be based in our Birmingham, AL office.  This a full time salary exempt position and reports to the VP of Sales.



Provides Retail Partner Item Set up and Order Management Support using a variety of customer provided wed portals. This position also configures all customer program details in the company’s ERP system and monitors all Retail Partner orders to ensure they are correct and that they ship on time. The position generally supports 2-3 primary larger customers as well as a several smaller customers. This position also internally supports our customer service reps to answer any customer program questions as well as acts as a back up to customer service calls and emails being directed to the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties as assigned:

  • Provides all item set up and maintenance in customers system
  • Configures all customer details and item set up in SAP ERP system
  • Tracks and Manages all customer orders to ensure on time shipment.
  • Coordinates and communicates all order changes and edits with the customer.
  • Coordinates with planning and operations to ensure orders are produced on time.
  • Provides back up support to company customer service representatives.
  • Performs other duties as required.


  • Significant use of Microsoft Office is required.
  • A moderate skill level in Excel and PowerPoint Required.
  • Professional communication skills required both verbal and written.
  • SAP knowledge a plus. Extensive training in SAP and Filemaker provided.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This position requires a minimum of  two (2) years’ experience within a customer service and or sales support role.
