Manufacturing Production Supervisor

Plantation Patterns, a division of NBGHome, is a manufacturer and distributor of high quality outdoor cushions and umbrellas in the United States. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor to join our Selma, AL manufacturing supervisory team.  This role is a first shift, exempt position reporting to the Production Management.


As a Production Supervisor, you will work within a dynamic and passionate team to achieve and maintain the goals of our manufacturing plan. This role will work with production management to perform and manage daily production activities to promote a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.  You will train and supervise production associates; work with Inventory Control to maintain accurate inventory; and maintain records for all equipment, materials, and products. Relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, you will assist the team in making production processes/responsibilities more efficient.

  • Daily inspection and care of equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Communication/Interaction/Support of all departments.
  • Pull material from inventory for work orders.
  • Return material to inventory from work orders.
  • Load/Unload/Relocate material as needed per Inventory/Production/Shipping/Quality Control requirements.
  • Assist/support all personnel.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by management.
  • Conduct cycle counts including researching and documenting inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and possible solutions.
  • Monitor and perform key functions related to inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness at all times.
  • Perform daily audits to ensure accuracy of received quantities.
  • Document all errors found during any research pertaining to a SKU in question.
  • Complete all required paperwork/transactions accurately and within required deadlines.
  • Work safely at all times and follow all established safety rules and guidelines including reporting noncompliance.
  • Communicate information related to daily work activity to management.
  • Maintain a supportive and customer focused work environment by performing all supervisory functions including associate performance, attendance, training, reports, etc. in a timely and accurate manner.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Accept special projects as assigned by supervisor. 

Skills/Abilities Experience Requirements:

  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through, time management, and multi-task abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to coach and train associates to improve individual and team performance.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read and understand measurements and tape measures.
  • Lifting and moving boxes will be required.
  • Team player that works well within a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision as well in a team.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years manufacturing/production experience; at least six (6) months hands on supervisory experience.
  • If necessary, must be able to work modified shifts and weekends with little notice.
