Receiving Supervisor - Southaven

NBG-Home is a leading global designer, manufacturer and marketer of home décor products including custom and ready-made picture framing, lighting, wall décor, accent furniture and soft goods. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Receiving Supervisor based in our Southaven, MS facility, with approximately 500,000+ square feet and shipping more than $600M annually.  You will manage the day-to-day operation in a past paced receiving department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Determine the daily/weekly workload & make plans to accomplish work load requirements to meet internal & external customers.
  • Meet customer requirements for Inbound requirements.
  • Maintain Daily SAAG Board & all visual tools.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Sales Support on customer service related issues.
  • Closely monitor employee productivity and accuracy rates to ensure standards are met.
  • Implement Action plans when goals are not met.
  • Monitor daily/weekly sku velocity to determine the proper slotting of sku’s
  • Ensure Department/Work area is compliant with 6S
  • Ensure all SOP’s are current & all employees are trained according to the SOP’s
  • Ensure all Scanners are tracked in & out on a daily basis.
  • Lead, Support and/or participate in all Lean Kiazen activities.
  • Ensure 24 hour turn on inbound containers


  • Prior warehouse supervision experience; preferably in the area of receiving imported containers; WMS experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of lean, six sigma & the ability to use metrics to manage an area, department and shift.
  • A team player who is professional, with demonstrated leadership skills to influence the department and implement and manage change.
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Formulates effective goal-setting and develops employees.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of 6S, Visual Management
  • 2-4 years’ experience in a relevant field
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work unscheduled overtime
  • Solid leadership skills with a track record of developing individuals and teams
  • Ability to take initiative and lead change
  • Ambition, a strong work ethic and an eagerness to learn
  • Must have effective time management skills and the ability to handle multiple requests
  • Must have clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal in a cross functional environment)
  • This job is performed in both an office environment and a non-air-conditioned warehouse.
