Nielsen Bainbridge Group, a leading global consumer packaged goods company is currently seeking a Packer for its Foam Lamination` department on 2nd shift in our Bridgeview, IL manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a Machine Operator in manufacturing.

You will be responsible for the successful packaging of finished product in the Foam Lamination line. 

 

Type of manufacturing: foam extrusion, foam lamination, foam thermoforming, paper lamination, reclaim

 

Duties include but are not limited to the following: 

*Be prepared and available to assure prompt machine start-up.
*Keep machine operable and work areas clean and organized.
*Foster and maintain effective communications both up and down the line, with supervisor and individual crew members.
*Make recommendations for improvement of overall efficiency and quality.
*Setup cartons, inspect product and cartoons for defects and ensure all components are with final unit, insert unit in carton, add filler and stitch carton ends as specified.

*Date code and mark model number on cartons as required and place on line/pallet.

*Perform Line assembly operations as assigned.
* Contributes to plant safety by communicating and correcting unsafe working conditions.
*Perform other duties as assigned and required.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*High School Diploma or GED; or one to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent of a combination of experience and education.
*Capable of being certified on Industrial Trucks.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Job regularly requires standing; use of hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The employee performing this job is frequently required to walk, climb or balance and talk and hear. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
