Supply Chain Specialist

NBGHome is a leading global designer, manufacturer and marketer of home décor products including custom and ready-made picture framing, lighting, wall décor, accent furniture and soft goods. We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Specialist for our Quoizel Lighting Division in Charleston, SC.

The Supply Chain Specialist ensures performance of the supply chain from order to shipment. This requires tracking inventory and orders as well as forecasting future demand needs. The Supply Chain Specialist will manage and direct supply chain process in the procurement, receipt, disbursement, and inventory control of material to ensure on-time delivery orders while maintaining assigned inventory levels.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations, shipping and receiving
  • Applying certainty to uncertain situations affecting others, such as in forecasting or decision-making
  • Aligning tactics to strategy in planning and harmony within organizational culture
  • Supporting activities related to creation of reports and data analysis
  • Reviewing and understanding basic production capacity and utilization models
  • Leading internal reviews of major suppliers
  • Performing analysis of financial, operating and market information including Spend Analysis, Trend Analysis, Demand Planning and Forecasting
  • Placing purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of production material as required by forecast and the production schedule
  • Monitoring status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication and mitigation of future potential problems.
  • Developing and monitoring procurement controls, including requisitions, approvals, and ensure associated purchase orders are executed in a timely fashion
  • Monitoring and enforcing supplier compliance to shipping timeline
  • Prepareing weekly and/or monthly inventory reports based on customer needs and commitments as well as internal monitoring reports
  • Managing multiple concurrent projects and schedules using shared internal and external resources; ensure projects remain on schedule

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Good understanding of Supply Chain Metrics
  • Excellent applied knowledge of forecasting, MRP, transportation, supply chain, inventory management and warehousing disciplines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great collaborator willing to reach out to subject matter experts for assistance help
  • Patient and calm under pressure
  • Solution and process improvement oriented
  • Advanced with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Math, Statistics, Accounting  or other related subject
  • At least 2 to 5 years of experience required
