Warehouse Associate Level 1

Plantation Patterns, a division of NBGHome, is a manufacturer and distributor of high quality outdoor cushions and umbrellas in the United States. We are currently seeking Warehouse Associate Level 1 workers to join our Calera, AL distribution center Warehouse team.  This role is a first shift, hourly position reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor with day-to-day work monitored by a team lead.


As a Warehouse Associate Level 1, you will work within a dynamic and passionate team to achieve and maintain the goals of our inventory plan. This role will work with warehouse management to perform and expedite loading and unloading product in the shipping, storage, and receiving areas as well as keeping the warehouse clean, and delivering items throughout the facility as needed.  At all times, you will support a safe, clean, organized, and accountable workplace with no damage to product or packaging.


  • Daily inspection and care of equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Communication/Interaction/Support of all departments.
  • Locate material into inventory per AIMS.
  • Pull material from inventory for work orders.
  • Return material to inventory from work orders.
  • Load/Unload/Relocate material as needed per Inventory/Production/Shipping/Quality Control requirements.
  • Assist/support all warehouse personnel.
  • Accurate and use of scanning equipment.
  • Works safely at all times and complies with all established safety rules and guidelines including reporting noncompliance.
  • Communicates information related to daily work activity to team lead and supervisor.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills/Abilities Experience Requirements:

  • Highly organized with exceptional follow-through, time management, and multi-task abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and understand basic work instructions.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read and understand measurements and tape measures.
  • Ability to operate a forklift; must be certified within three (3) months of hire.
  • Lifting and moving boxes will be required.
  • Team player that works well within a fast-paced, goal-driven environment.
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision as well in a team.
  • At least six (6) months or more Inventory Control and/or warehouse experience.
  • Proven Safety record.
  •  Must be able to stand and walk for the full 8-12 hour shift on possible irregular surfaces.
  •  Proof of High School Diploma or GED.
  • Successfully complete all pre-employment checks (including Drug Screen and Background Check)
  • If necessary, must be able to work overtime and weekends with little notice.
