Account Representative

Patton Picture Company, a division of NBGHome, has an opportunity for a Sales Account Representative based in our Mechanicsburg, PA facility.  This position is responsible for growing sales and developing customer relationships to meet specific goals at assigned accounts as established by the Director of Sales.  This position acts as a primary point of contact for our customer base and also analyzes relevant market and Company sales data in order to make strategic decisions regarding products, budgets, and forecasts. 


Essential Functions:

  • Develop, manage and lead sales/marketing objectives, strategies and initiatives to achieve profitable sales growth, increased market share and a sustainable industry position with their accounts. 
  • Responsible for meeting targeted monthly and annual growth of gross sales and gross profit dollars as established by the Director of Sales. 
  • Responsible for making professional, accurate, and timely sales presentations to current customers.  Fosters and develops on-going relationships with customers.  Develops ways to be in constant contact with accounts through monthly (on average) in person meetings and weekly product updates.  Takes care of all customer follow up as needed. 
  • Performs market research in order to prepare budgets and make forecasts regarding growth, trends, and business opportunities.  Prepares monthly forecasts regarding dollar shipments by customer and sku sales by customer.  Maintains up-to-date understanding of industry trends, competitive activity, and technical developments that effect target markets and customers. 
  • Maintains and develops relationships with key personnel at accounts.  Effectively communicates updates and changes to product, pricing, and account initiatives. 
  • Works cohesively with Product Development Team, Production Team, and Sales Team to successfully sell all Company products and product lines.  Provides consistent feedback to Teams regarding customer relationships, results of sales development activities, new accounts, and market trends.  Evaluates product marketability in terms of customers’ needs. Makes recommendations when appropriate. 
  • Establishes and maintains contacts in industry that lead to sales.  Travels to and attends trade shows as required.  Maintains customer profiles and other related data.   
  • Shops competition and reviews trend magazines.  Brings samples and ideas to Product Development to reverse engineer.
  • Challenges Product Development team to design domestic and import products at sellable price points.
  • Works with Product Development on import needs for accounts.  May involve art selection, program and quantities needed. 
  • Performs other related duties as required.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • experience or knowledge of wall décor and/or home furnishings industry.
  • Three to five years experience selling to National Retail Accounts.

Must have strong business, organizational, and financial acumen.  Must be computer literate.  Must have excellent interpersonal and written communications skill set.  Must be willing to travel 50% of time.
