Sales Manager, Key Accounts

NBGHome is a leading global designer, manufacturer and marketer of home décor products including custom and ready-made picture framing, lighting, wall décor, indoor and outdoor accent furniture and soft goods. We are currently seeking a Sales Manager, Key Accounts for our headquarters in Northwest Austin, Texas.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in identifying and securing new business.  Consumer packaged goods industry, preferably wall decor, sales experience with major retailers required. 



  • Manages a sales territory or group of key accounts successfully, including an above average record for opening new accounts, effectively handling sales opportunities and problems, with administrative efficiency in handling paperwork, customer concerns, etc. Achieves sales targets with aggressive deadlines.
  • Identifies key new accounts to secure new as well as repeat business. Establishes, develops and maintains relationships with customers. Owns the category relationship with the buyer and serves as a trusted category adviser. Identifies and clarifies internal/external customer needs and expectations, taking actions to ensure that customer goals are aligned and met.
  • Maintains a database of key contacts within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Develops and maintains thorough knowledge of assigned products and systems, including their technical aspects, product features and advantages in terms of customer appeal, competitive strengths, weaknesses and pricing structures.
  • Develops and conducts a variety of creative and effective presentations.
  • Participates in regular department and company meetings to evaluate product and merchandising programs and to ensure strategic and key projects are on track to achieve goals.



  • Consumer packaged goods sales experience.
  • Proven track record opening, developing and maintaining accounts.
  • Applied professional experience in developing, maintaining and improving customer relationships.
  • Strategic-thinking self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong selling ability with a history of achieving goals and meeting aggressive deadlines.
  • Results driven, flexible and open-minded with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Advanced analytical skills. Experience analyzing retailer data and presenting key findings and recommendations to senior level management with an understanding of P&L.
  • Strong communication, follow up and interpersonal skills with the ability to work successfully in a team environment.
  • Effective presentation, project management and organizational skills.
  • Frequent travel required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, sales, business administration, or a related degree or five (5) years of equivalent training and experience.



Job may require long periods of sitting, standing, walking, driving, working on a computer and engaging in telephone conversation, and loading, unloading and carrying product samples to and from customer locations. In a manufacturing environment, must be capable of wearing personal protective equipment necessary to comply with government and company safety standards and require some tasks that include walking, bending, twisting, gripping, stair and ladder climbing, and navigating rough terrain.
