Sales and Inventory Analyst

Plantation Patterns, a division of NBGHome, is a manufacturer and distributor of high quality outdoor cushions and umbrellas in the United States. We are currently seeking a Sales and Inventory Analyst based in our Birmingham, AL office. 


This position plays a primary role in the company’s planning department. It uses customer forecasts, POS sales data, as well as internally developed analytics to support the forecasting and projection of inventory needs both domestically and with our international supply chain. It is a high-profile position that has significant opportunity in a new company and in a department that is growing rapidly.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities       

  • Conduct analysis of sales and customer data to support sales strategies and the development of analytically based inventory forecasts.
  • Coordinate with Sales Department in implementing sales forecasting and timing of customer orders and flow.
  • Communicate with Major Retail customers about forecasting their requirements
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain to outline upcoming customer requirements.


Education, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (Supply Chain Management, Economics or Math preferred)
  • Understanding of the Mass Retail Marketplace
  • Strong background in analytics.
  • Well organized with the ability to handle multiple projects successfully and in a timely manner
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Formula and Macro Creation
  • Understanding of data exchange methods.  Ability to import and export data
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent business management and developmental skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel; occasionally visits within the production and warehouse areas of the facility.
