We are currently seeking a Senior Logistics Manager based in Corona, CA or Goose Creek, SCThe Senior Logistics Manager is responsible for managing the flow of goods and materials throughout our business. This includes working cross functionally to ensure that transportation supports product flow from the point of overseas manufactures through the delivery at our distribution centers, customer DCs and 3PLs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the capacity and performance of the ocean carrier base.
  • Manage inbound container prioritization with carriers and distribution center and execute exception reporting.
  • Responsible for an annual RFQ, ocean contracts, onboarding, SOP documentation.
  • Assists with the transportation budget as it relates to air/ocean cargo, as well as TL and LTL activities, and all related fiscal planning activities.
  • Develops effective working relationships with ssline and Freight Forwarders to secure the most cost-efficient ocean and ground transportation rates and ensures execution of all required business outcomes.
  • Manages International Transportation metrics as well as Carrier improvement programs and reporting strategies.
  • Identifies key metrics, effectively tracking performance and adjusting providers, modes, routes efficiently in order to drove cost reduced transportation performance.
  • Ensures that monthly, quarterly and yearly KPI’s are prepared and published as appropriate.
  • Manages staff, including evaluations, corrective actions, hiring, retention and employee relations
  • Manage external vendors, develop criteria that measures acceptable performances, and holds vendors accountable.
  • Work directly with distribution teams to drive improvements.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving upon all KPI’s kept throughout Operations. Actions should be driven through analyzing metric data.
  • Assists in the annual Operational budgeting for all related departments.
  • Assists in the creation of Operational goals for all related departments.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Works w/Shipping to resolve shipping concerns, parts department, QC and Glass
  • Works closely with Engineering to better assist our customers
  • Answer incoming Queue calls, 2<sup>nd</sup> line calls, emails and any faxes.
  • Assists Advertising as needed, writes n/c replacement and return authorizations
  • Answers heavy incoming phone call volume and responds to daily phone calls regarding inventory.
  • Assist salesperson with any information he needs or requests…catalogs, tabs, videos, etc.
  • If department needs assistance with catalogs, kits, photographs, etc.

Skills Required:

Mandatory Skills; A good knowledge of domestic and international logistics and supply chain management, sourcing transportation services, strategic planning abilities, negotiation skills, budget management, mathematics and English, project management skills and communications skills with all levels of management within the company.

Preferred Skills; Systems evaluation, Systems analysis, Social perceptiveness, Persuasiveness, Service orientation, Active learning, Active listening, Monitoring of processes and compliance

Education and Eperience

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management)
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant activities: transportation management and supply chain environment, customer service management.
  • 1-3 years of experience with transportation budget management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong administrative, organizational, managerial and communication skills.
  • Experience working across all levels, from front line associates to senior level leaders.
  • Analytical ability necessary to gather and interpret data, and develop, recommend, implement solutions
  • Able to work collaboratively across functions and synthesize multiple points of view into a streamlined action plan. Able to effectively drive results in a fast-paced and rapidly growing company.
  • Familiarity with Incoterm, import, export, and DOT regulations.
