We are currently seeking an Assistant Product Strategist, based remote. The Product Strategist E-Commerce will be focused on the Pure Play E-Commerce Channel.  They will conceive, direct, curate home décor assortments across many categories. 

The Product Strategy team achieves corporate strategic and financial objectives by strategizing, conceiving, creating, directing, and managing all NBG brands, product categories, and individual products to exceed consumer and customer needs and desires.

They deliver on general development and consumer and customer requests from the sales and digital teams and compose requests to support partners that align with their capabilities, capacities, operating processes and operating requirements.

They operate at the cross-functional hub-of-the wheel in directing and driving market and product objectives across design, insights, innovation, development, sourcing, sales, planning, and finance.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support strategy development for target consumers and customers in the designated future and current product (brand) categories.
  • Maintain, refresh, and innovate product categories and items.  Curate assortments to meet objectives.
  • Asssit achieving sales, margin, and budget goal for categories
  • Understand categories, channel and customers as needed –
  • Deep dive Competitive Market Assessments
  • Manage timelines, new product development goals & margins expectations and product target costing.
  • Execute Cross-functional coordination with  design and all other support teams for all requirements to fulfill a project completion
  • Direct interface with PBW cross-functional E-Commerce Team  members
  • Day-to-day initiatives to deliver new products, packaging, merchandising solutions for assigned categories and customers
  • Responsible for SKU lifecycle management, birth to death
  • Strict adherence to PD calendar timelines and Milestone meetings

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Product Design or Merchandising
  • Master’s degree desired.  Not required
  • 3+ years of progressive work experience
  • Focused work experience in merchandising or product management in the ecommerce space, either buying or selling to major national players in affordable home décor.
  • Experience in merchandising, assortment planning, product management
  • Experience in eCommerce highly preferred
