 We are currently seeking a Sales Planning Associate/Sales Support, based in Austin, TX . This positon will serve as a strategic planning partner to sales team by building customer and category level strategies that drive profitable sales growth. Responsible for focused analytics, opportunity planning and customer/category level operational support.


Key Responsibilities

Sales Planning

  • Provide focused POS, Sales & Opportunity Analysis by category & customer
  • Merchandising & Assortment Strategy - Work as conduit between Product and Sales to develop customer driven ‘go to market’ strategies
  • Act as liaison between sales and internal facing teams including inventory planning, product and sourcing
  • Work with Sales to create annual customer strategy and provide periodic business review support
  • Prepare sales team for line reviews - Customize sales presentations, complete pricing, etc.
  • Understand customer P&L, retailer margin and pricing expectations
  • Joint Business Planning in partnership with sales and customer
  • Maintain best seller lists and presentations

Operations – Sales Support

  • Responsibility for customer specific spreadsheets, requirements, quote sheets, etc.
  • Manage customer portals & image requests
  • Maintain customer profiles & requirements
  • Manage customer development calendar
  • Order management – verify on time shipments, pricing, order changes, communicate reconciliation of orders & revisions to internal teams
  • Other tasks, as needed.

Skills 

  • High level of accountability and cross-functional partnership.
  • Business acumen and analytical capabilities; ability to use data-driven insights to make decisions and evaluate risks and opportunities
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel with the ability to manage pivot tables and utilize formulas
  • Strong operational and process-oriented focus to execute flawlessly.
  • Self-motivated with strong curiosity
  • Expert in time management and prioritization of responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant field
  • 1-3 years of experience in Sales buying/planning or as a Sales Assistant, a plus
