We are currently seeking an Industrial Product Designer based in Austin, TX.  This position will be responsible for working closely with Product Strategists and the Design Director to design a range of home decor products including picture frames, functional wall decor and functional / decorative tabletop decor.


Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and conduct relevant product research, and track trends
  • Translate home decor trends and research into meaningful and customer-relevant products
  • Inspire product teams and team members with fresh, clever and unexpected solutions
  • Use 2D and 3D software to create high quality renderings of designs for internal review and customer presentation
  • Balance innovative product design with functional requirements and aesthetic appeal
  • Own product designs from ideation to manufacturing
  • Produce technical drawings and product specs for manufacturing

Skills Required

  • Outstanding sense of design combined with high level of skill, speed, and accuracy
  • High level of proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Proficiency using 3D modeling software - Sketchup, Rhino, 3DS Max or similar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Understanding of common materials and manufacturing processes (wood, metal, plastics)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and organized
  • Strong aesthetic sensitivity
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Strong sense for graphic design as it relates to surface design and graphic layouts
  • Drive for innovation and thinking outside the box
  • Passion for home decor products is a big plus!
  • Understanding of packaging and print process is a plus

Education & Experience

  • 5-10 year of relevant professional experience
  • Bachelors degree in industrial design or furniture design

Additional information

  • Travel: This position requires some domestic travel, approximately 1-4 trips annually
