We are currently seeking an eCommerce (retail.com) Sales Analyst to serve as a strategic planning partner to the eCommerce National Account Manager – Home Depot and Lowe’s, by providing focused analytics and planning support to build customer and category level strategies that deliver data-driven sales and profit growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with National Accounts, Home Center Hardware team, to build and execute digital growth plans
  • Support National Account Manager to build annual customer strategies and evaluate new project opportunities
  • Support building NBG Home’s business with customer(s). Success measured by profitable sales growth, share gains, achieving revenue targets, executing special programs, and new and core item distribution expansion
  • Drive category growth through customer insights and analysis of consumer decision trees to disproportionately grow categories online
  • Create and monitor data reports to analyze trends of product categories, highlight opportunities, and address risks to the NBG Home portfolio
  • Proactively develop, maintain & communicate reports and scorecards that will help mutually grow NBG’s and the customers’ business
  • Provide focused eCommerce POS & sales analysis by category & customer
  • Understand product line architecture and customer profitability from a sales and gross margin perspective
  • Work as conduit between Sales, Sales Planning, and Product Development to develop data driven ‘go to market’ & assortment planning strategies
  • Act as liaison between sales and internal facing teams including finance, product and sourcing, inventory planning, and digital content/shelf
  • Support price negotiations and cost analysis
  • Conduct opportunity and risk analysis
  • Redesign existing tools, reports, and templates, as needed
  • Sales category & customer operational support, as needed
  • Monthly and Ad hoc development of customer presentation materials

 

Skills Required

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with ability to develop reporting models, manage pivot tables and utilize complex formulas
  • Analyze complex data sets in order to unlock insights and opportunities
  • Experience working with databases, pulling queried data and building reports to inform key business decisions
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams to execute the plan
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute on an array of projects over multiple timelines
  • Strong sense of urgency with keen attention for detail and accuracy of info
  • Understanding a P&L and budget preferred

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Finance or relevant field
  • 1-3 years of experience in eCommerce, online retail, consumer goods, manufacturing or planning
  • CPG or retail experience working with a National Retailer (Home Depot, Lowe’s) strongly preferred
  • Clear sense of ownership, comfort with financial responsibility
  • Experience and/or passion for home décor, design, consumer products, and online sales & marketing a plus
