 In this hands-on Assistant Corporate Controller role, you will be responsible for assisting the VP, Corporate Controller in the preparation and review of the consolidated financial statements, regulatory reporting and designing, implementing and maintaining effective financial controls for multiple divisions spread across the United States. The ideal candidate will exude a positive, “can-do” attitude.


Key Responsibilities

  • Help to oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes for the organization and participate in monthly review meetings of financial results.
  • Participation in quarterly balance sheet review meetings and help to identify weaknesses and work to remediate.
  • Assist with all quarterly, annual and ad-hoc audit activities to include the audit narratives and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial guidelines issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board.
  • Help to establish and maintain a high-preforming team of professional, motivated, and engaged staff.
  • Help to implement and document processes.
  • Other projects assigned to include system implementations and RPA.
  • Uploads SEI (financial reporting tool) each month.

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field, MBA or CPA preferred.  Position will require a minimum of 3 years controller experience.
  • The ideal candidate will show strength in using ERP systems & financial consolidation tool such as OneStream.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Large company experience required.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
