We are currently seeking an Operations Supervisor, based in Goose Creek, SC. The Operations Supervisor will  distribution center inventory control and parts department functions. This includes effective slotting and storage of product. Maintains accurate inventory, stored in a cost effective and efficient manner.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct inventory control and parts teams.
  • Maintain the integrity of the inventory in distribution center through cycle counting. Resolve inventory discrepancies timely and provide corrective actions to reduce or eliminate adjustments.
  • Manages the day-to-day activity within inventory and parts departments, including planning, flow, and resource prioritization.
  • Maintain company culture, empower associates, set goals, and develop others. One on one meetings with associates.
  • Establish business relationships with key partners, i.e. counterparts, peers, facility management, IT, and Human Resources.
  • Partner with the Sales and Sales Support on customer service-related challenges.
  • Ensure constant improvement by reviewing practices, methods, and processes. Make recommendations on any opportunities to improve.
  • Understand and enforce all safety guidelines. Member of the safety team.
  • Manage the department’s monthly KPI’s.


Skills Required

  • Demonstrated understanding of inventory control function within a distribution center environment.
  • Ability to lead a team toward a common goal.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to take direction and implement changes.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to facilitate inter-department communications related to inventory control practices.
  • Must be motivated, detailed oriented, and a self-starter.


Education & Experience

  • 2-4 years’ experience in a supervisory position in the distribution field.
  • High school diploma. Associates or College degree is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Prior inventory control experience required.
  • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Manhattan preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean, 6S, Visual Management.
  • Experience working in a Radio Frequency and bar-coded distribution operation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proven track record of motivating teams and resolving conflict; ability to provide feedback and develop other leaders.


Additional Requirements

  • Ability to stand up or sit for long periods of time, lifting boxes when needed, and moving a pallet with manual pallet jack or various types of forklift equipment.
  • Ability to work 10+ hour days and weekends when needed.
  • Ability to work in an office environment and non-climate-controlled warehouse.
