We are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor based in Austin, TX, reporting to AR/AP Manager.  This position will be responsible for the accounts payable functions of multiple divisions spread across the United States.  A thorough understanding of the complete AP process. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of the complete AP process, exude a positive, “can-do” attitude and leadership style.

 
Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing routine shared service department activities, such as disbursing checks, vouchering invoices, and vendor maintenance to ensure that they are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Meets accounting operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system and process improvements and facilitate change
  • Ensure all financial transactions within the company are accounted for and follow legal standards and US GAAP
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Oversee all reporting requirements to include 1099’s
  • Provides a high level of customer service to internal and external customers
  • Building a high performing team by recruiting, managing, and mentoring staff
  • Assist with special projects

Skills Required

  • Excellent computer skills and moderate to advanced MS Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Sage X3 is a plus

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of Accounts Payable Supervisory experience within shared services preferred
  • Large company experience preferred but not required.
