eCommerce Senior Product Content & Data Specialist

We are currently seeking an eCommerce Sr. Product Content & Data Specialist, working remote, reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing. The ideal candidate will engage their creative side to lead and execute A+ content optimization strategies, both written and visual. This position will responsible for identifying ways to enhance the content offerings for our 2500+ products. Build inspiration boards to guide CGI designers, outline creative briefs to lead multi-media producers on best in class product video, and work along copywriters to draft keyword rich romantic copy. In addition, you will use your analytical ingenuity to audit existing product data and assets, build processes for maintaining A+ content standards across strategic eCommerce customers, and package that content for distribution across retailer websites to provide the best customer product data, content, and experience in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and normalizing product content and data received from manufacturers and internal sources to ensure data is consistent and accurate
  • Enhance product content across all strategic eCommerce customers
  • Audit product content including images, dimensions, and descriptions
  • Collaborate with creative team members to resolve product content needs in a timely manner
  • Create and maintain product details, such as: product meta data, product descriptions, digital assets
  • Manage formatting and dissemination of data to various retail partners
  • Maintain data dictionary for marketing purposes
  • Optimize and maintain product taxonomy within COE systems
  • Collaborate with Brand Liaison to resolve product data issues in a timely manner
  • Help drive vendor product onboarding efficiencies with product information acquisition strategies
  • Coordinate with and project manage outsourced creative vendors
  • Identify, monitor, and report on key metrics and then analyze and create a strategic plan to address needs
  • Work with Content Analyst to develop and generate consistent reporting to assist in tasks along with creating strategic plan for specific products, categories, and data clean-up
  • Assist in testing new system features and integrations

Skills Required

  • Understands and has experience with product content creation, optimization, and maintenance
  • Demonstrates project management abilities by multi-tasking, prioritizing, being flexible, and meeting deadlines on a consistent basis
  • Analyzing, conceptualizing, and logically organizing information with a high degree of precision and accuracy
  • Building and maintaining solid relationships with retailers and vendors
  • Learning new platforms for management and distribution of information
  • High attention to detail
  • Understanding and experience with product taxonomy and assortment management
  • Firm understanding of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Dedicated work ethic and punctuality
  • Responsible and reliable with strong personal integrity

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Visual Media or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, with 1-2 years of web experience preferred
  • Background in collecting and managing product-related digital assets
  • Knowledge of PIM or CRM software and experience with Salsify is preferred
  • Experience in the lighting industry is a plus
