We are currently seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst, based remote, reporting to the IT Director, Business Analytics and Enablement.  Our team is responsible for curating the data assets for NBG Home. This includes all aspects of data governance, quality and analysis. Our purpose is to enable impactful results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.


This role is responsible for working with stakeholders across all of NBG Home to identify and understand the information required to accelerate growth in our business. The successful candidate will turn data from disparate systems and processes into relevant, meaningful and impactful insights that drive smart, timely, data driven decisions that position NBG Home as the leader in affordable Home Decor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to identify requirements and define user needs and requirements. Translate business requirements into high functioning analytics solutions.
  • Assist in data management, modeling, integration and reporting and visualization projects within the Business Analytics team
  • Architect and build efficient data models and structures consistent with overall NBG Data Warehouse standards
  • Define and implement ETL/ELT architecture, including designs on integration approaches, identifying and simplifying inconsistencies across multiple platforms
  • Design and deploy self-service reporting models and data marts using multidimensional and tabular models
  • Design and develop high-performance data visualizations, reports and dashboards utilizing Power BI

  • Experience in sourcing and extracting data from multiple Business Applications and ERPs
  • Experience in developing, testing and deploy SSRS reports
  • Expertise in dimensional data modeling principles and methods including designing and building logical and physical data models
  • Proven ability in designing, developing and modifying large scale SSIS packages
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Ability to develop Stored procedures, views, triggers and functions
  • Proficient in designing, developing dashboards and tabular reports within Power BI
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering Power BI solutions using DAX and Power Query
  • The ability to engage and communicate with end users at all levels across multiple business functions, understand business goals and complex requirements and processes and deliver effective solutions
  • The ability to make technical concepts meaningful to a business audience


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a relevant field
  • 3-5 years of experience with SQL Data Warehousing and relational database concepts and technologies
  • Broad, deep experience within the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack
  • Demonstrated experience in the full Business Analytics Lifecycle including ETL, Datawarehouse, Reporting and Dashboard environments
