Graphic Designer / Production Artist

We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer to join our in-house creative team. The Graphic Designer accountable for executing creative projects that follow best practices in print and web design. The ideal candidate has excellent typography skills, a strong print background, an eye for details, is highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the design and production, from start to finish, for projects including wall décor product designs, packaging, point-of-sale retail signage, business presentations, brochures and other marketing material.
  • Accountable for proofing, managing revisions and tracking approvals for projects.
  • Manage multiple projects and be held accountable to timelines established by the team, as well as demonstrate flexibility when priorities change.
  • Work quickly and efficiently and always striving to find a better way to perform
    (keyboard shortcuts, general workflows, etc.).

Scope of Work: The position interacts routinely with company management, office personnel, freelancers and external technical resources. Limited “off-hour” communications may be required.

Education & Experience

  • At least 2 years of graphic design experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design (or similar).
  • Strong typography skills, excellent knowledge of color and how it changes from screen to print. Must have a strong understanding of space and size relationships for images.
  • Strong print production skills with understanding of profiles, bleeds, paper types, offset vs. digital, etc.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of MS Office and the Adobe Creative Suite, including advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (cloning, color adjust, optimizing for various web outputs, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, eye for detail and project management skills required.
  • Experience in developing, adhering to and enforcing a product trend guides preferred.
  • Experience developing packaging die lines preferred.
  • Agency or consumer product goods experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of 3D programs is a huge plus!
