Jr. Analyst, Sales Planning & Operations

We are looking for a Sales Planning Jr. Analyst to serve as a strategic planning partner to the sales team by providing focused analytics and planning support to build customer and category level strategies that drive data driven sales and profit growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide focused POS & sales analysis by category & customer
  • Understand product line and customer profitability from a sales and gross margin perspective
  • Work as conduit between Product and Sales to develop data driven ‘go to market’ & assortment planning strategies
  • Support price negotiations and cost analysis
  • Conduct opportunity and risk analysis
  • Collaborate with finance, planning, and sales on budget and forecasting
  • Provide periodic business review support to the sales team
  • Act as liaison between sales and internal facing teams including finance, inventory planning, product and sourcing
  • Work with Sales to create annual customer strategies and evaluate new project opportunities
  • Redesign existing tools, reports, and templates, as needed
  • Sales category & customer operational support, as needed.
  • Ad hoc analysis, as needed.

  • Business acumen and analytical capabilities; ability to use data-driven insights to make decisions and evaluate risks and opportunities
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel with the ability to manage pivot tables and utilize complex formulas
  • Strong operational and process-oriented focus to execute flawlessly
  • Self-motivated with strong curiosity
  • Expert in time management and prioritization of responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams

 Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant field
  • 1-3 years of experience in Retail business, manufacturing or planning, a plus.
