We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Planning & Analysis Sr. Manager/Director to be part of our rapidly growing team, level to be determined based on candidate experience. You will assist with financial reporting, strategic projects, forecasting & budgeting and ad-hoc analysis, supporting Corporate Finance.  You will work collaboratively with a range of cross-functional partners to ensure projects are completed and deadlines are met.

The FP&A Sr. Manager will be responsible for providing sound financial judgment and analytical insight to the operations and strategic planning. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator coupled with exceptional technical strength that can provide proactive guidance and leadership on financial, operational, and analytic domains. A strong sense of ownership and a critical eye is crucial for success in this role.

The ideal candidate will be extremely hands-on while possessing advanced financial and operational experience. We are looking for a candidate with strong analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Strong business acumen and the ability to influence change through written and verbal communications are imperative.

The FP&A Sr. Manager will approach projects with a flexible, innovative, service-oriented mindset, and a strong emphasis on system-based solutions. You possess an analytical mind, an ability to communicate complex ideas to senior business leaders, and a desire to make a meaningful impact. This position reports into the VP of Corporate Finance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Player/coach responsibility acting as people manager, develop content and work on projects
  • Responsible for recruiting and building team as finance continue to grow to scale
  • Prepare annual budgets and regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly) forecast updates
  • Create and maintain templates to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
  • Develop and monitor critical business and financial performance metrics.
  • Develop and evolve scalable processes to effectively manage financial performance, and to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Work with executive management on the development of Board presentations
  • Work with IT to validate data and oversee corrections or fixes to internal data systems
  • Continuous focus on simplification and standardization
  • Redesign existing tools, reports, and templates as needed
  • Analyze monthly financial results including variances to budget, forecast, and prior year
  • Understand product line and customer profitability from a sales and margin perspective
  • Be a collaborative partner to other functional teams such as accounting, sales, distribution, sourcing, planning and manufacturing.
  • Run and publish reporting on a regular cadence
  • Other ad hoc analyses as needed


Skills Required

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated field such as business, accounting, or finance
  • 5+ years of work experience in an analytical role
  • 2+ years of supervisory/management expereince 
  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience
  • Experience building complex models or reports in Excel
  • Demonstrated team-first mentality
  • Strong communicator in person and in writing
  • General familiarity with an ERP system (especially SAGE, JDE, SAP or Microsoft Dynamics)
  • SQL and/or Power BI are a plus
