We are currently seeking a Product Designer based in Southaven, Mississippi or possibly remote. This position will be responsible for working closely with Product Strategists, Sourcing and the Design Director to design a range of home decor products primarily in the accent furniture and lighting categories.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and conduct relevant product research, and track trends
  • Translate home decor trends and research into consumer viable products
  • Inspire Strategy team and Design Team members with new, clever and unexpected designs
  • Use 2D and 3D software to create high quality renderings of designs for internal review and customer presentations
  • Balance innovative product design with functional requirements and aesthetics
  • Own product designs from ideation to tech packs
  • Produce technical drawings and product tech packs for manufacturing to pass to Sourcing

 

Skills Required

  • Outstanding sense of design combined with high level of skill, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to design/create high volume of styles
  • High level of proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Proficiency using 3D modeling software - Sketchup, Rhino, 3DS Max or similar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Understanding of common materials and manufacturing processes (wood, metal, glass and fabric)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and organized
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Drive for innovation
  • Passion for home decor products is a big plus!
  • Understanding of packaging as it relates to Accent Furniture and Lighting

 

Education & Experience

  • 5-10 year of relevant professional experience
  • BA -Product Design
