 We are currently seeking  an experienced Receiving Supervisor, reporting to the Selma, AL Distribution Center. The Supervisor will oversee all warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes, and maximize receiving productivity. The Receiving Supervisor responsibilities include supervising employees, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring quality of goods, and preparing relevant documentation.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Directing and coordinating team members within their department or warehouse.
  • Assigns tasks related to the intake, transportation, and storage of materials.
  • Reviewing personnel performance and determining how to best utilize staff members.
  • Determine the best practices for the intake, transportation, and storage of raw materials.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, safety, and performance.
  • Maintaining accurate and updated records.
  • Oversees departmental onboarding and training process.
  • Oversees the onboarding and offboarding of temporary associates.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Guide, coach, and develop associates.
  • Oversees Receiving kitting process - entails the collection of raw material and parts groups together in a single kit. Those components are then delivered directly to the production lines.
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct accident/injury investigations

 

Requirements

  • Two- or four-year college graduate or equivalent work experience is needed
  • Adheres to Dwell and Decor values, policies and operating policies and procedures
  • At least 2-5 years of experience.
  • Industrial Power Truck Certification
  • Valid Driver’s License

 

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous standing/walking/moving (mandatory to perform job eight hours and more per day).
  • Occasional pushing/pulling and ability to lift 75 lbs. or more.
  • Occasional kneeling/stooping, ascending/descending stairs.
